    The State Commission supported the project to create a
    mining and metallurgical plant in the Arctic


            The State Commission for the Development of the Arctic approved
    the investment project for a platinum group deposit in the Murmansk
    region  with  a  total  investment  of  more  than  82  billion  rubles,  which
    involves the construction of a mining and metallurgical plant. This was
    announced  at  the  state  commission  on  Thursday  by  Yuri Trutnev,  the
    prime minister, full presidential representative in the Far Eastern Federal
    District.
            During  the  meeting,  Alexander  Krutikov,  Deputy  Head  of  the
    Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, presented a project
    to develop the  Fedorova  Tundra  platinum  group  metal  deposit in the
    Murmansk  region.  According  to  Krutikov,  the  project  provides  for  the
    creation of a mining and metallurgical production of copper-nickel concentrate with platinoids
    with an ore capacity of 16 million tons per year. The volume of private investment in the project
    will amount to 82.8 billion rubles. It is planned to create 1.2 thousand new jobs. The subsidy
    funds from the new tax will pay off in 2027, the deputy head of the ministry noted.

    The Bank of Russia issues commemorative coins of

    precious metal into circulation


            On October 21, 2020, the Bank of Russia issues commemorative silver coins: 2-ruble
    denomination Navigator I.F. Kruzenshtern, on the 250th anniversary of his birth (11/19/1770)
    of the series Outstanding personalities of Russia; in denomination of 3 rubles 75th anniversary
    of the creation of the UN.
            On the front of the coins, there is a relief image of the State Emblem of the Russian
    Federation.  There  are  inscriptions: "RUSSIAN  FEDERATION",  "BANK  OF  RUSSIA",  the
    denomination of the coins: "2 RUBLES", "3 RUBLES", date: "2020", metal designation according
    to the Periodic system of elements D.I. Mendeleev, the fineness of the alloy, the trademark of the
    St. Petersburg Mint and the mass of pure precious metal. On the reverse side: coins Navigator
    I.F. Kruzenshtern, on the 250th anniversary of his birth (11/19/1770) (catalog number 5110-
    0165) there is a relief portrait of I.F. Kruzenshtern against the background of the contour image
    of the map of the circumnavigation of 1803–1806 made in the technique of laser matting;
            The issued coins are legal means of cash payment on the territory of the Russian Federation
                                     and must be accepted at face value in all types of payments without
                                     any restrictions.
