I trusted that God would take care of

everything--I had practiced to the best

of my ability. If I won, fantastic. If I

didn’t, I would learn valuable

takeaways and be a good sport. I did

win in the end, and I was incredibly

relieved and thankful for His help.

I think the important takeaways I

learned is that so many more things in

life are out of our control than we

think. Each day is out of my control. I

could go as far as saying every breath

is out of my control. God gives every

breath that goes through my body, or

your body, and I realize that I’m so

thankful to be alive. It seemed almost

silly for me to hesitate in putting my

full trust in my very own creator, yet

the uncertainties I’ve faced in life have

guided me towards Him every time.
