Sure, I knew that English was not my
thing. I have been struggling with it for
a long time!
Strangely, years after our church was
established, a tiny voice within me said
“you shall preach in English when you
are 50 years old”. But I could not
remember when I had that thought,
maybe in my late 30s. Speaking in
English to an audience? That was
impossible! How could I ever preach in
English? I even could not preach in
Chinese! I stumbled few times with
great anxiety at work when I spoke to a
room of people.
In addition to that, I gradually
discovered that sometimes, I could not
even organize my thoughts very well. I
stumbled through casual talk or
discussions often as I just did not have
