What causes concern for possible COVID-19 exposure?

           •  Having a household contact with COVID-19.
           •  Contact with a patient known to have COVID-19 when the patient was not wearing a

               mask and the employee was not wearing recommended PPE.
           •  Contact with another employee known to have COVID-19 when either or both
               employees were not wearing a mask.

           •  Performing an aerosol-generating procedure (AGP) for a patient with COVID-19 while
               not wearing a respirator and face shield.
           •  Caring for a patient with COVID-19 while wearing a mask/respirator but NOT a face
               shield when the patient was not wearing a mask.


        What does NOT cause concern about COVID-19 exposure?

           •  Passing someone with COVID-19 in the hallways.
           •  Caring for a patient with COVID-19 while you are wearing a mask or respirator and face
               shield.

           •  Performing AGPs while wearing a respirator, eye protection, gown and gloves.
           •  Interacting with an employee with COVID-19 while both you and the other employee are
               wearing masks and maintaining proper physical distancing.
