UNIVERSITY SPONSORED SCHOLARSHIP
a. Entrance Scholarship. This is given to entering freshman who graduated as valedictorian or
salutatorian of a class, from a public or private high school. It is availed only for one semester.
b. University Scholarship. This is given to a regular student who obtained a GWA of 1.5 or above at the
end of a regular term and who carries the prescribed maximum academic load for the term.
c. College Scholarship. This is given to a regular student who obtained a GWA of 1.75 or above at the end
of a regular term and who carries the prescribed maximum academic load for the term.
d. Graduate Scholarship. This is given to an entering graduate student who graduated with honors in
his/her baccalaureate degree and who maintains a GWA of 1.25 or higher each semester.
e. Developmental Program Scholarship (Agriculture and other related programs)-This is extended
to students who enroll as freshmen in courses such as BS in Agriculture, BS Animal Husbandry, BS
Agribusiness, BS Agricultural Engineering, BS Forestry, Bachelor of Agricultural Technology, BS Fisheries
and Diploma in Agricultural Technology.
The students shall enroll the prescribed academic load per semester, and must not have failing or
incomplete grades in preceding semester.
Students who shift to non-developmental courses shall automatically forfeit their free tuition fee
and shall refund such fees they have availed of.
f. Sports/Athletic Scholarship
This is awarded to athletes who:
1. carry a maximum academic load of 15 units;
2. have not incurred a failing or incomplete grade, and
3. have participated or won in the University/Campus sports competition during the preceding
semester and have been qualified to represent the University in higher athletic
competitions.
g. Student Publication Scholarship. This is awarded to the campus student publication staff who have a
minimum academic load of 15 units/ semester and have no failing or incomplete grade in the preceding
semester.
h. Socio-cultural Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to students who are members of the socio-
cultural group and who have won in the regional/national competitions who carry a minimum academic load of
15 units and have no failing or incomplete grade in the preceding semester.
i. Scholarship for the Handicapped. This is offered to students with any of the following disabilities as
certified by the campus physician:
a. Crippled
b. Partial Visual impairment
c. Partial Hearing impairment
d. Other partial physical disabilities
