A good book review has a concise plot summary along with evaluation
and offering a recommendation for the audience.
Title of the Book: HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS
Author: J.K Rowling
Illustrator: Cliff Wright (first edition)
Set in: United Kingdom
Genre: Fantasy
Amongst all the Harry Potter series, my personal
favorite book is The Chamber of Secrets. In this
book, Harry Potter is back at the Dursleys for his
break. Harry is feeling sad because none of his
friends have written to him. One day while going
to his bedroom he finds a house elf jumping on his
bed. The elf was called Dobby. He mysteriously
tells Harry not to return to Hogwarts. Just when
this is being told Harry’s friend Ron comes in a
flying car and takes him along. The next day they go to Hogwarts. As the day passes, Harry gets to know that
a strange beast has been going around and paralyzing mud-bloods (children who were born to non-magic
parents). He needed to stop this beast.
Harry and Ron go to the chamber of secrets with the help of clues provided by a ghost named moaning
Myrtle. They discover various other things with the help of the ghost along with the diary of Tom Riddle.
The story gradually unfolds. After a ferocious battle with his archnemesis, Voldemort, Harry wins and is
finally able to defeat Voldemort.
The unique story plot and adventures in the book has made it one of the most popular ones in the world till
today. The book has kept young novel readers entertained and even old ones. Those who haven’t still had
a chance to read this fantastic book are missing out! I would like to recommend this book to people who
would like to read a fantasy novel with a lot of adventure and extraordinary episodes. This book has the best
characters, plot, and twists that will leave you at the edge of your seat. The story line is so well built that you
readily connect with the characters and just can’t stop reading.

Title of the Book: DIARY OF A WIMPY KID THE MELTDOWN
Author/Illustrator: Jeffy Kinney
Setting: House Neighborhood School
Genre: Comedy
In this book Greg had to go through a lot of bad luck incidents like the walk to school, the actual school itself
which is not the end but is a nightmare for Greg. His friend Rowley isn’t making it any easier. One morning
Rowley comes as usual, dressed weirdly with England like Bat Rowley. He usually does weird things like
this, so Greg dismissed it as regular Rowley behavior so he went to school and found out that he had a
presentation for Malta. He rushed to get it done.
