In an effort to provide effective crisis
response to our community members
experiencing a mental health crisis, the
members of MCST respond to evaluate the
best course of action. MCST utilizes
resources to assist in the evaluation
process to include linking individuals to
additional services and counseling options.

The Bike Team, which operates as an
axillary team, had 24 members in 2019

working events such as: 4 of July, Dickens
Fair, Western Festival, Giant Pumpkin
Festival, and the Illumination Parade.

In 2019, the Honor Guard was deployed
thirteen times. The EGPD Honor Guard
respectfully represented the department
at the funerals of Officer Natalie Corona,

Officer Tara O’Sullivan and Deputy Brian
Ishmael. The team was honored to present
our National Colors at the State of the City
address, the Annual Awards Luncheon, the
E.O.W. Memorial Ball, the Veterans Walk
to Remember, as well as numerous other
community and special events. Also in
2019, the Honor Guard expanded their
ranks to 18 members.
