promote  National  Integration  and  Communal  Harmony  among  people  of  all
                         religions, languages and regions and to eschew violence and promote goodwill
                         among the people. During this occasion Sadhbhavana Plegde was taken by all
                         the employees.


                   •    Rashtriya Ekta Diwas


                        To  commemorate  the  Birth  Anniversary  of  Sardar  Vallabhbhai  Patel,  Konkan
                         Railway observed “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” on 31.10.2019. “Run for Unity” was
                         organized wherein employees of Konkan Railway actively participated to make
                         this  event  a  grand  success.  Integrity  Pledge  was  also  administered  to  the
                         employees to commemorate this event. Prabhat pheris / Nukkad Nataks/Quiz &
                         Essay competitions were also organized during this occasion.

                   •    Constitution Day


                        The 70th Constitution Day was celebrated on 26.11.2019 at the Corporate Ofce,
                         Regional Ofces in Ratnagiri and Karwar as well as Project Ofce of USBRL at
                         J&K.  The  Preamble  to  the  Constitution  of  India  was  read  out  by  C&MD  at
                         Corporate Ofce and Regional Railway Managers, Project In-charge in English
                         and Hindi at the respective Regions. The Fundamental Duties of Citizens were
                         also read out on the occasion. Printouts of these duties were displayed on Notice
                         Boards of Stations and at various ofces.

                   •    Public Sector Day


                        10th Public Sector Day was observed in Corporate Ofce as well as in Regions
                         from 10th to 16th April, 2019.   On this occasion Quiz and Essay Competitions
                         were conducted. Winners were suitably awarded.


               22.      VISITS OF PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEES


                   •    Meeting with Hon'ble MPs along the Konkan Railway Route of Maharashtra, Goa
                         and Karnataka was held on 19th & 20th September, 2019 at Goa and Karnataka.
                         Meeting with Hon'ble MPs of Maharashtra was held on 02.01.2020 to discuss
                         issues  pertaining  to  their  Constituency  /  State.  Various  issues  regarding
                         Passenger  Amenities,  Train  Services,  and  Recruitment  of  Land  losers  were
                         discussed in these meetings.

                   •    Konkan Railway Users' Consultative Committee meeting was held at Goa on
                         27.02.2020.  The Committee discussed passenger amenities and train services.
