21.  GENERAL ADMINISTRATION

                   21.1 Campaigns & Drives


                   •     Swachhta Pakhwara

                         In terms of the instructions received from the Ministry of Railways “Swachhta Pakhwara”
                         was  successfully  organized  as  part  of  the  Swachh  Rail  Swachh  Bharat,  at  all  the
                         establishments  of  KRCL  from  16th  to  30th  September,2019.  During  this  occasion
                         Swachhta Pledge was administered at Corporate Ofce, Regional Ofces at Ratnagiri &
                         Karwar as well as at Project Ofce of J&K and emphasis was given on 'Shun Plastic Use’.

                   •     Community Day

                         To commomorate the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, 02  October, 2019
                         was observed as 'Community Day' at Corporate Ofce, Konkan Rail Vihar Colony
                         at Nerul, Regional Ofces at Ratnagiri & Karwar as well as at Project Ofce of J&K.
                         Shramdaan  was  organized  at  Railway  Colonies,  Stations  and  at  all  the
                         surrounding areas on the Konkan Railway Route, in which all the employees and
                         stakeholders took part. During this occasion tree plantation was organised along
                         the KR route. Street plays were also conducted at Station premises.


                   •     Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat


                         With an objective of celebrating Unity in Diversity of the Nation and to strengthen
                         the bonds between the people of the country, Government of India had launched
                         the  Ek  Bharat  Shreshtha  Bharat  (EBSB)  program.  Konkan  Railway  actively
                         participated in this program. EBSB logos, posters, banners, theme songs, clips,
                         etc., shared by MHRD were displayed/played at Railway Stations.

                   •     Martyrs' Day


                         On 30.01.2020 on the occasion of Martyrs' Day 'two minute silence' was observed
                         from 11:00 to 11:02 hrs. in the Ofces and Stations of Konkan Railway. Suitable
                         arrangements  for  announcement  at  Stations  about  commencement  and
                         termination of 'two minute silence' was made for those assembled at the Railway
                         Platforms so that the dignity of the occasion is not marred by any unnecessary
                         noise.


                   •     Sadhbhavana Diwas
                         On  20.08.2019  'Sadhbhavana  Diwas'  was  observed  at  Corporate  Ofce  and
                         Regional  Ofces  of  Ratnagiri  and  Karwar  as  well  as  Project  Ofce  at  J&K  to
