13. HUMAN RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT
13.1 Policy Framing
Revised Promotion Policy has been implemented. For the rst time at KRCL, LDCE &
GDCE selection has been introduced. All cadres have been restructured with higher
percentage. Promotion Avenue also notied along with the policy. Track maintainer
cadre similar to Indian Railway has been implemented. KRCL has implemented online
APAR system for Non-executives. Detailed Schedule of Power on Establishment matter
has been implemented.
13.2 Recruitment
Major transformation has been achieved during the year in process of recruitment by
switching over from manual to “On Line” recruitment process, which in turn has enabled
smooth and transparent recruitment process without interface of human. Various
recruitments in safety and non-safety categories have been nalized. 203 employees
were recruited during the year 2019-20.
13.3 Industrial relations
During the year, industrial relations have been cordial with Unions.
13.4 Women Employees
As on 31.03.2020, there are 444 nos. of women employees in the Corporation working all
over jurisdiction of Konkan Railway holding some of important posting and crucial
operations of train running. The percentage of Women employees is 7.98% of the total
employees.
