9.2 Rolling Stock Component Factory, Ratnagiri

The Rolling Stock Component Factory is being built by KRCL as a modern, platinum
rated Green and energy efcient Factory for Central Railway to overhaul rolling stock
bogies, assemblies and components. It is being constructed at Additional Parshuram
Lote on 50 acre land. The turnkey contract for construction of the Rolling Stock
Component Factory was awarded to M/s Tata Projects Ltd on 12.7.2019. The work
amounting to `77.84 crore against was completed during 2019-20.

9.3 Asset Reliability and Safety Performance

The asset reliability and safety performance has been maintained during the year with
Zero Accidents/Derailments on Rolling Stock Account; Zero SPAD cases; Zero Coach
Detachment and Zero Wagon detachment on KRCL account and Zero Hot Axle Cases.

9.4 Development of Track Machines Maintenance System (TMMS)

In order to improve performance of Track Machines and to automate and digitize the
operation & maintenance, Mechanical department has designed and developed a web-
based Track Machines Management System (TMMS) for all Track Machines for the rst
time in Indian Railways. This system has various features such as GPS based tracking of
machines, paperless working by feeding all data and information directly on the
application provided in the tablets, computerized productivity and reliability
performance analysis and inventory planning.

9.5 Automated Train Examination System (ATES)

KRCL received an order for installation of 03 ATES systems in Mughalsarai-Kanpur
section of North Central Railway which is major trunk route of Indian Railways with speed
over 120 KMPH. Earlier Two ATES sets were commissioned at Nagpur in Central Railway.
