To practise fine motor and manipulative skills through moving the scarf in several ways including threading through hands, drawing circles and rainbows, waving, moving like butterfly wings and throwing and catching, to practise gross motor skills including swaying and spinning and the locomotor skill of running around on tippy toes
M (SSM)
To use the body to explore shape through music and dance
EAD (MM)
To feel scarves and to move to music rhythmically
EAD (BI)
To pretend to be a spider, a bug and a flying minibeast such as a butterfly or lady bird
Dance aims
Balance
To improve balance by transferring weight from one foot to the other (swaying) and through running on tippy toes Control
To practise control through running on tippy toes
Coordination
To improve coordination through movements including spinning scarf around wrist during a roly poly action
Creativity
To pretend to fly around the room like a minibeast of their choice
Motor Skills
