Opening lines: “The Freeman family had just arrived at their favourite camping spot. They pitched their giant purple tent by the river and then went for a swim.”

7. Act out the story

8. Moving around the room: ‘Camping Out’ performed by Emilie Mover “It’s time for us to pretend to go camping!” Play the track and lead them in the following activities:
a) Drive to the campsite.
b) Look for a place to pitch the tents (wade through a stream, push through thick
trees, walk through a cave and up a hill until you find the perfect spot).
c) Pitch the tents using the same sound effects used during ‘Introduce the Theme’.
d) Chop firewood then build a fire.
e) Toastmarshmallows.
f) Go to sleep in the tents.
