Along came Jessica who picked her favourite one.
DAD
Now there’s nine little flowers standing in the sun.
(nine, eight, seven little flowers etc.)
1. The group sits in a circle. Place the ten flower pictures in the centre. Choose one child to be the flower picker. You sing the song, inserting the flower picker's name into the lyrics where indicated and you hand that child a flower on ‘who picked her favourite one’. Older babies can crawl into the middle, choose a flower, pick it up and return to the circle. There may be quite a pause whilst you encourage the child to pick up a flower. Repeat until there are no flowers left.
2. If the babies are able to collect the flower pictures themselves (or if there is an adult assisting you, or parents in the room), you can join in on your melodic instrument.
