P. 22
If there are more than 12 children in the group, you may need to invite more than one child at a time, or have all the children under at once. In this case, keep the name Penny or take turns using different children's names.
See Saw Margery Daw
See saw, Margery Daw,
Johnny shall have a new master. He shall have but a penny a day, Because he can't work any faster.
1. Introduce this song by placing the big teddy on your lap. You move him up and down according to pitch and pulse as you sing the song the first time. When you repeat the song, encourage the adults to lift their babies up and down in time with you (classes with parents only).
2. The group is sitting around the parachute in a circle. Move the parachute up and down to the pulse as you sing. Try to match the pitch by going up on ‘see’ and down on ‘saw’.
3. As above only you place the small teddy on top, flinging him up into the air each time you sing the higher pitch. Reveal another soft toy from your sparkly magic bag. Name it, place it on the parachute and count that there are now "one, two" toys on top. Repeat the song with two toys on the parachute. Repeat for up to ten toys.
4. The babies hide under the parachute as it is moved up and down by the adults according to pitch and pulse.

1. Reveal rain pic. "It's time to go splashing in some puddles!" The adults hold their babies and walk around the room in a circle to the pulse, jumping on the word ‘Splash!’
2. Walk slowly like snails. Walk quickly like mice.
3. Lightly creep to pulse and use fairy (quieter) voices. March loudly and use giant (louder) voices.
