6. Choreographed dance: ‘Wiggly, Wiggly Christmas’ performed by The Wiggles

Teach the children the tricky moves first, then play the track and perform the dance all together using the choreography from the video.

7. Action song: ‘When Santa Got Stuck Up the Chimney’ written by Jimmy Grafton Click activity name to open YouTube video link.
Sing the song acapella three times, using the actions from the video. On the last repeat, encourage the children to join in with the singing.
When Santa got stuck up the chimney, (pat belly to pulse)
He began to shout, (hands to side of mouth as if shouting)
“You girls and boys won't get any toys, (point index finger to pulse as though telling off)
If you don’t pull me out. (pulling action to pulse)
My beard is black, (stroke beard)
There's soot in my sack, (point thumb behind back)
My nose is tickly too.” (tap nose to pulse)
When santa got stuck up the chimney, (pat belly to pulse)
“A-choo A-choo A-choo!” (hands to side of mouth and sneeze three times, left, middle then right)

8. Working with Props: ‘Jingle Bells’ performed by The Wiggles
“Now it’s time to be in Santa’s Christmas Band. If you join in really well, you will all get some magic sparkles at the end of the lesson!” Hand each child a percussion instrument (making sure to hand out all of your bells, if you have any). Practise lifting instruments up as you say ‘hey’ (without any music). Then, everyone sings the well known chorus acapella and plays their instruments to the pulse, lifting them up on ‘hey’. Then play the ‘Jingle Bells’ track and the children march around the room with their instruments, remembering to lift them high into the air on ‘hey!’. When the music stops, they must freeze. Do not eliminate children or make anyone “out”. Rather, tell them that you will be watching to see how fast they can freeze and how quiet they can be.
