Execution

Formation for beddings in below ground drainage monitoring and control systems type B
Timing: Excavate to formation immediately before laying bases or beddings.
Mud, rock projections, boulders and hard spots: Remove. Replace with consolidated bedding material.
Local soft spots: Harden by tamping in bedding material.
Inspection of excavated formations: Give notice.

Constructing brick shallow access chambers for below ground drainage type B
Standards: To BS EN 752, and in accordance with relevant parts of the National Annex (NA); In accordance
with relevant parts of Sewers for adoption; In accordance with relevant parts of Sewers for Adoption,
Northern Ireland; and In accordance with relevant parts of Sewers for Scotland.
Base slab thickness: 150 mm.
Chamber dimensions:

Length (nominal internal): Submit proposals.
Width (nominal internal): Submit proposals.
Depth (cover level to pipeline invert): As manhole schedule.
Walls:
Thickness: Submit proposals.
Bond: Manhole (water) bond.
Laying bricks: Lay frogged bricks with frog upwards.

Cast in place mounting block profile: Rise from manhole base vertically to provide plane surface for
attachment of unit.
