"No...I don't think so. Our banana plantation at the Southern,
but dogs has started barking in Hung-Dao resettlement village at the
Eastern." He replied. Then he stared at Nguyen in his worry look.
"Nguyen. What did you think? Dogs were barking at the Western
now! why it was silent at the Northern?"
"Northern was Ban-Me-Thuot downtown," Nguyen replied.
"Yes, I knew that... At the West, South, Eastern from our house
where the countryside and the spring started running from Eastern
between the Hung-Dao resettlement village to Southern then
towards the 14th rive at 14 miles at the Western. Behind the spring
at South-Eastern and Southern were forest and the Montagnard
villages..."
- "You were always talking around! Why didn't you tell him what did
you think in your mind? This night was too different with another
and just in the time of New Year eve. It was a bad omen!" Nguyen
Mother interrupted.
Nguyen looked at his watch, and asked his father:
"Where were your three salvos of fire-cracker? I will hang them
up on the roof at the front door."
Suddenly, their dogs had bark. They ran over all directions on
the front and backyard. Sometimes they rushed into the house from
the dog-hole and barking out. Nguyen and his parent looked at each
other at the same time.
"Nguyen, don't open the door!" His mother said at the same
time his father turned off the light. He opened the window door with
a little, just enough for him looking out of the front yard, then he
made a signal to call Nguyen.
"You had good eyes. You may see clear more than me. Look at
the green enclosure and the foot of trees at the small garden
