Demilitarized Zone and prepared to make the invasion into South
Vietnam.
Early 1972, Viet-Cong stared threating the Pleiku highland, and
concentrated effort pounded the Demilitarized Zone on middle
February and spreading the ground battle on over South Vietnam,
while American force continued on schedule drawdown according to
Nixon's plan. It would not make South Vietnamese troops
concentrate on reinforcing the troops parallel with the
Vietnamization plan and did not have time to set up their defense,
and against the three North Vietnam divisions, with 40000 troops in
all delivered the main blows with full modern weapons that never
seen previously in South Vietnam. They directed against the Military
Region I on Quang-Tri, Khe-Sanh, Hue, and Da-Nang. Viet-Cong
threatened the Military Region II on Highland as Darto, Kontum,
Pleiku, Darlac and Quang-Duc cities. Also, the Military region III and
IV had the ground battle along Cambodia's border areas. The large
enemy plan became clear and ready face the South Vietnamese
troops on the battlefield in the South, while South Vietnam Military
Government lacked time to concentrate and reinforce their troops,
which like the kind of mobility possessed by the Allied units as
Richard Nixon Doctrine 1969 plan.
The other true face of Viet-Cong was beginning to make the war
and invasion of South Vietnam. Viet-Cong would count on any
people in the North; even teenage could hold the gun is going
