                      AUTUMN HAS ARRIVED

                                          Original “Mùa Thu Đến” by NGUYỄN
                  PHÚ LONG

                  Well! Autumn has arrived as everyone perceives;
                  The wind blows gently as to rock the yellow leaves.
                  Fall is happily back with the moon and the banian-tree
                  And the legendary earth-originated Cupid and phoebe.

                  How I wish I could lean on the pipal, where I dwell,
                  Clear sky, fresh wind, to dream of the celestial belle.
                  But, down below, the loveable earth dimly appears
                  With so many images of my relatives, my old dears.
