YOU CAME
IN A RAINY EVENING
Original “Em Đến Thăm Chiều Mưa”
by NGUYỄN PHÚ LONG
After our quarrel: my car has broken down;
Being confined, at the wind blowing I got frown.
Repairing it? I considered that my money is less;
Back and forth in place, time seemed in excess.
Shaving my beard became useless, just a fribble;
Brushing my hair, how it then looked as to fiddle.
Suddenly, I heard someone knock at the door;
I opened it: you have come, life recurs as before.
