 Proven Faithfid
"The fellowship of the Apostolic church will assemble
together until they eliminate us. As long as we live, we will be faithful."
When we met together in service that night I said, "Let us continue to worship boldly!"
The church responded with willingness and full joy and shouted "Amen!"
Our program continued with mighty rejoicing and
clapping of hands as the Israelites going out to battle. Many
people received healing and we cast eight demons out of a man who had suffered for a long time.
On hearing the sounds of our service, the leaders of the town snarled, "Do these people think they have freedom?" The next day they started arresting the believers
again saying, "Didn't we command you not to assemble again? Who gave you permission to hold meetings? Now, we will put all of you in prison."
Abruptly, the Kebele leaders received orders from the District office conscripting them to close their offices and
come help build houses for the peasants resettlement
program. Though unhappy about it they had to go, so they released the prisoners. As we gathered that night, singing
joyful songs with all our might they came and said, "We have to go build dwellings for the farmers, but we will arrest
you when we come back."
Brother Dawit said, "Go ahead; we will sing until
you return." They left in anger.
When they returned after more than a month away
and found the church had multiplied in their absence they
furiously began to round us up again. Before they could do much, news came from the inspectors that they had built so
badly they must return and dismantle the building they 69
