     1.  Sophomore member of Frankfort’s 1929 State Championship team.
     2.  Member of 1930 & 1931 teams that made State Finals appearances.

     4.  2-time team captain.
     5.  Member of Everett Case’s all-time high school basketball team.
     6.  2-time All-Big Ten selection at Purdue.
                a.  Member of three Big Ten Conference championship teams.
     7.  Named to “Chuck Taylor’s All-American Team” in 1935.
     8.  Played for the Indianapolis Kautskys & in the Missouri Valley AAU League.

     High School: Frankfort (1922)                   College: Purdue (1926)                    Induction: 1963
     1.  Hot Dogs leading scorer from 1919-22.  Finished as FHS’ leader in career points (945 pts).

     2.  Led the Hot Dogs to State Finals appearances in 1921 & 1922, earning 2  team
           All-State honors in 1921.
     3.  Set state record in 1922 in the “Half Mile Run” as a member of FHS’ Track & Field
           team.
     4.  3-sport athlete at Purdue (Football, Basketball, Track).

                    a.  3-time All-Big Ten, All-Midwestern, & All-Western Conference
                          honoree (1924, 1925, 1926).
                    b.  Led Big 10 in scoring in 1924 & 1926.
                    c.  Named Big Ten’s “Best Forward” 1924, 1925, 1926.
                    d.  Helms Foundation All-American in 1926.

                                               Bill Springer


     High School: Indpls. Washington (1953)          College: Hanover (1957)         Induction: 2001
     1.  Won 539 games in a 40-year head coaching career that included stops @ Linden,
         Seeger, Brazil, Indpls. Shortridge, Jennings County, Bloomington South, &
         Southport.
     2.  Led Southport to the State Finals in 1990.
     3.  3-year starter @ Indpls. Washington & a 3-year lettermen @ Hanover.
