Central, & Noblesville.
2. Coached Darlington to back-to-back undefeated regular seasons in 1969 & 1970.
The Indians won 49 consecutive regular season games from 1968-1971.
3. Winner of 11 Sectional titles & 16 Coach-of-the-Year awards.
4. Past President of the IBCA.
Bill Perigo

1. Led his Delphi Oracle teams to the State Finals in 1928 & 1930. The 1929 Oracle
squad finished w/ an undefeated regular season.
2. Played professional basketball for the Indianapolis Kautskys & Caesar’s
All-Americans.
3. Coached high school basketball for 15 seasons (2 @ Markleville & 13 @ Benton
Harbor (MI).
a. Won Michigan State Championship in 1941 @ Benton Harbor.
4. 2 seasons as Head Coach @ Western Michigan & 8 seasons as Head Coach @
University of Michigan.

tenure as Head Men’s Basketball Coach @ Wabash College.
2. Won 544 games in 38-year career.
3. Let his 1982 Little Giants to a DIII National Championship.
4. Assistant Coach in 1983 National Sports Festival & 1985 Jones Cup Games.
5. All-State basketball & baseball player in Wooster (OH).
6. Played 4 years for the University of Tennessee Men’s Basketball Team.
7. Son, Matt Petty, is Crawfordsville all-time leading scorer, was selected to the 1989 Indiana All-Star Team, &
played basketball @ Creighton.
