     2.  Played basketball & football @ Notre Dame & Princeton.  3-time All-American in
           Football.
     3.  Head Men’s Basketball Coach @ Purdue.
     4.  Coached basketball, football, & Track @ Wabash, while also serving as the school’s
           Athletic Director.

     1.  High-scoring member of Frankfort’s 1936 state championship team.

     7.  Named to All-Madison Square Garden team in 1940.
     8.  Featured by Life Magazine in 1940 as the “best college player” in the country.

     1.  Long-time sportswriter for the Lafayette Journal & Courier, beginning in the early
         1970s while student @ Lafayette Jeff.
     2.  Named 1991 Indiana Sportswriter of the Year
     3.  Published author: “Tales of Indiana High School Basketball” (2004) & “Gene
         Keady: The Truth & Nothing But the Truth.”
     4.  Purdue Men’s Basketball beat writer.




                                          Howard Williams


     High School: New Ross (1945)          College: Purdue (1950)         Induction: 1989
     1.  4-year starter for the New Ross Blue Jays & later played 4-years of basketball for
           The Purdue Boilermakers.
     2.  Member of the USA Men’s Basketball Team that won a Gold Medal in the 1952
           Helsinki Olympics.
