The bear was massive but I was angry at it for being so bold and

calm so I decided to kill it. I got badly mauled instead. How ironic,

right? The mauling taught me a lot, especially not to lie. When I came

back to this island, after lying wounded in the hospital for six months,

I was no longer scared but I was lonely. Edwin and Garvey taught me

how to relieve my own anger and I finally danced the anger dance. It

taught me that it wouldn’t heal you or me if we couldn’t forgive each

other, so that’s the reason for writing this letter.

I genuinely feel sorry for you and am once again extremely sorry. I

wish I could change the past but that power is beyond me. However, I

would like to apologize for whatever I did, so I hope you can find it in

your heart to forgive me.
