Medicine Safety Tips and Drug Recall information.
Did you know that medication errors and adverse drug reactions are common
at all stages of the medicine use process and are associated with a high
cost in terms of patient outcomes as well as financial consequences due
to additional treatment or litigation? Therefore, to avoid any unexpected
surprises, Numark have a dedicated Information Services team, approved
Medication Safety Officer (MSO) status and an abundance of resources to
              support you.

Numark prides itself on a sharing and learning culture to make sure that you
get the most out of your membership and provide important guidance on drug
recalls and medicine safety tips to protect you and your patients.

              Numark has MSO status
Numark gained MSO status to support any of their members with fewer than
50 branches. This offers significant benefits and values to Numark members.
Enhanced patient safety: Having an MSO in place, Numark members can
ensure that they are operating at the highest standards of medication safety,
minimising the risk of medication errors.

Access to critical information: As the appointed MSO, Numark will keep its
members informed about Patient Safety Alerts, Medicine Recalls, and Drug
Safety Alerts issued by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory
Agency (MHRA). This timely information ensures that Numark members can
quickly take necessary actions to protect their patients and comply with
              regulatory requirements.
Learning and continuous improvement: The MSO plays a crucial role in
improving reporting and sharing learnings from patient safety incidents.
Medicines Safety Reports are produced on a quarterly basis providing analysis
of trends in reported incidents using the Pharmapod incident reporting
platform which enables the MSO to, identify common issues or risks and
provide targeted advice and recommendations to its members.
Comprehensive coverage: While larger community pharmacy organizations
may have their appointed MSOs, Numark's initiative ensures that even
smaller pharmacy teams with fewer than 50 branches are not left behind. This
comprehensive coverage ensures that the entire community pharmacy sector,
regardless of size, benefits from the expertise and support of an MSO.
