This is an incredible start and it is amazing to see this opportunity being embraced
        in such a short time frame since launch. This level of activity has proven to be the
        strongest start of any new national pharmacy led service, and clearly demonstrates
        both the level of commitment from pharmacy teams and the demand from
        patients. The data so far is from just the first month of the service and the number
        of consultations each week will undoubtably increase as patient awareness grows,
        and pharmacy teams become more experienced in providing the service.

        Supporting patients’ needs


        The Pharmacy First service allows patients to receive
        advice and treatment for seven common conditions.

        Data collected by the CCA shows that in just the
        first month since launch, that there is clear patient
        demand for treatment of all seven conditions.
