The shift to unannounced GPhC inspections since April PHARMACY
2019, along with the publication of inspection reports, INSPECTIONS HAD AN

inspired us to create this service. Our goal is to support OUTCOME OF STANDARDS
members to meet all the GPhC standards and avoid NOT MET WITH 57.72%
potential negative publicity and/or enforcement actions. OF THESE

Health Check Service unique
Our Regulatory Health Check service stands out from
others due to several key factors:
• Delivered by a team of experienced specialist
Regulatory Health Check Assessors, we invest quality
time with you and your team in your pharmacy.
• Our assessors bring the GPhC standards for pharmacy
premises to life, providing clear explanations and
recommendations for improvement.
• Each assessor provides a bespoke report and action
plan for your pharmacy, complete with links to all the
resources needed to implement improvements.
• We work with members to arrange timely visits,
ensuring no lengthy waits for your assessor to visit.
• Additionally, we offer coaching on the types of
evidence to show your local GPhC inspector to
demonstrate good practice.
Typical process of Numark’s
Regulatory Health Check Visit
Our approach mirrors that of GPhC inspections. During a
visit, we engage with all pharmacy staff, asking questions
about their roles and responsibilities to ensure they are well-
prepared for inspection scenarios. We provide coaching and
advice to teams on the types of evidence to show the GPhC
inspectors to demonstrate good practice, not just meeting
the minimum standards. The visit concludes with a review
meeting with the superintendent pharmacist or pharmacy
manager, where we discuss improvement opportunities.
