NHS England advised that the start date for the adult community
pharmacy flu provision will commence at the beginning of October, with
the exception for pregnant women being on 1st September. With this in
mind, the understanding is that most vaccinations will be completed by
November, which will result in a busier and more condensed flu season
this year; coupled with pressures on pharmacists time increasing,
following the inevitable growth of Pharmacy First service in England.

But remember, it’s not just about delivering the NHS flu vaccination
service, offering a private flu vaccination service also presents a
massive opportunity to vaccinate those outside of the at risk groups,
allowing you to make an extra income stream.
