“My relationship with PSUK began during the pandemic when
the pressures of the job led to a sudden exodus of staff. We lost
our manager and some key dispensary technicians. I was put
in as Dispensing Lead partner, and I felt like I had literally been
thrown in at the deep end. I was very much aware that the rules
in the dispensing contract are old and somewhat illogical. I was
also aware that I didn’t know what I didn’t know, so was fearful
that I was blundering in the wrong direction. Not sure who to ask,
I contacted Lois, our PSUK account manager, and asked if we
could have a meeting. We first met online due to the pandemic,
but instantly I felt that there was someone who knew the
answers to the million questions in my head. The more questions
she answered, the more I had! And so it kept going!
As restrictions were lifted, Lois started coming to the surgery
regularly to talk us all through our spend, our options, MDS
schemes, what the heck a parallel import was, and the fun around PA’s!

much laughter on the journey. We all now know our roles, and
PSUK HAS MEANT THAT WE FEEL IN
CONTROL OF OUR BUSINESS.
Happy Birthday PSUK, and thank you so much for your support
for our team.” - Emma Watts, Shere Surgery & Dispensary.
“We have been a PSUK member since 2016. The challenges of
dispensing has changed so much over the years. The ups and
downs of the generic medication prices has been constant. It was
easier to find MDS and there were more about 10-15 years ago.
However, PSUK supports our practice in so many ways from
our account manager to the information meetings we attend
locally. Our account manager is available when we need her
and is a mind full of knowledge and information.

The information we bring back to the dispensary assists us
