“I am not exactly sure how long we have
been members, definitely all my time as a
manager and I’m sure many years before that.
The challenges we have to try to overcome
now compared to earlier years is navigating
the many different medications available
compared to years ago, when I started in
dispensary 18 years ago we had 6 baskets of
medications which we called our fast movers
and also a handful of medication not used
so regularly. The demand from patients has
increased incredibly on our team especially
since Covid, now expecting all medication to
be readily available and turned around quickly,
all of these extra pressures as well as making
sure we can still run dispensary at a profit.
The support I have received from PSUK and
feedback from team members, especially ‘
the ones presented by Caroline Pond whose ‘
especially yourself since taking on the role
as manager has been unmeasurable, I was
unable to receive a handover of the position
to myself so inevitably had to find my own
