Out and
about with
the Chairman
In this month’s magazine I will update you on my
visits to the three devolved nations across
the UK and the three different
experiences that resulted.
Starting in Northern Ireland, I had the pleasure of visiting Queens
University Belfast and discussing the future of pharmacy practice
with the team. Whilst there I was given a guided tour of the InterSim
suite where pharmacy, medical, dental, nursing and social care students
undergo interprofessional learning. This is all aimed at ensuring the
healthcare professionals have an understanding of each other’s unique
strengths and therefore deliver the best patient experience possible. This
visit lead to Numark being invited to provide OTC packaging to refresh the
School of Pharmacy’s medicines display and a big thanks to Numark’s own
Rob Booth and his OTC team for making this happen. I am looking forward
to going back to see the results.
