Registered pharmacy technicians can deliver more
              services
Legislation allowing pharmacy technicians to supply and
administer prescription-only medicines (POMs) under patient
group directions (PGDs) came into effect on 26th June 2024,
meaning that any appropriately trained registered technician is
able to work autonomously under all private* PGDs, taking full
              clinical responsibility for medications supplied.

This will support you in streamlining your operations, as
with more healthcare professionals able to supply and
administer medications, patients can receive quicker and more
convenient access to necessary treatments. This will free up
the pharmacists time, but pharmacies may also experience
increased financial benefits through the provision of additional
              services and increased patient visits.
Our training partner ECG have launched Premises PGDs; one
comprehensive document that can cover your entire branch at a
specific address. This will go hand in hand with registered
pharmacy technicians who will be working under PGDs,
ensuring staff are covered under one PGD simplifying You can
