The new NHS Advanced service launched on the 31st of
January 2024, and aims to provide easily accessible care for
patients. This is achieved by enabling the management and
treatment of the following conditions under PGD’s:

Earache Impetigo Shingles Insect Bites

Sore Throat Urinary Tract Infections Sinusitis
in Women

This is beneficial to both patients and pharmacies, as it increases footfall traffic, and
takes the pressure off GPs allowing patients to be seen in a timelier manner.
Pharmacy First supporting downloads

We have developed a range of downloadable resources that focus on everything
needed to help your pharmacy set up and deliver the Pharmacy First service. This
includes the Pharmacy First SOP, an implementation checklist, a team brief, and much
more.
Pharmacy First marketing display materials
To support you in marketing and promoting the service, we have developed point
of sale materials. You should have received these by post but we have also added
downloadable versions that you can use for digital promotion and any additional print
requirements.
