For members using SystmOne TPP
SystmOne doesn’t link to the PSUK Portal so you will need to rely on the reply
direct from them.
Again, check all items go to PSUK/PHOENIX – you can check this in stock history
on your system.
Check pip codes in your system, it’s very common to get brands instead of
generics if the wrong code is listed, if this is the case just change the pip code
entered under that product to the one you want to receive.
Unfortunately, MyDeals or APM+ cascades are not active on
SystmOne so if you want to take advantage of these then you can
manually check the switches on our PSUK portal and change the
pip code to the recommended product allowing the ‘deal’ item to
be ordered for that prescribed product.
TPOS (Third Party Ordering System)/Order Agent
TPOS/Order Agent can save you a lot of time, it enables you
to place one order for all your dispensary drug requirements
with PSUK/PHOENIX, we will then forward your solus/dual
items to the relevant wholesaler if it’s a manufacturer we do
not distribute for. You have the ability to choose your preferred
cascade of second or third line wholesaler of choice, resulting
in you not having to switch between websites to find which
wholesaler supplies the product, which can be rather time
consuming and potentially difficult for new members
of staff. This is compatible with EMIS, SystmOne
and our PSUK website, however, we are unable
to assess which wholesaler may have additional
discounts on certain reduced wholesale lines.
Stock efficiencies
It is very important to keep stock levels
accurate if you use them as this helps you
keep owes to a minimum, this is the same for
all systems. Look at your reorder levels often,
medication trends can change so you need
to adjust volumes accordingly. As a rule,
you don’t need as much stock as you think
you do, you could look at ‘one in one out’
which is a way of ordering that requires
less stock.
Also, for all ordering options don’t
forget that if the reply says it has been
switched to Birmingham or Wakefield
then that item will come the next day.
One of the best ways to deal with
stock and ordering is to utilise Proscript
Connect and Golden Tote. - this is
available to an EMIS standalone surgery.
