Tuesday"), a general time frame ("Last week"), or even a

transition ("Next, we reached the top").
Example: "First, we packed our things. After that, we drove to

the park. Finally, we enjoyed a picnic lunch."

                      c. Using Specific Participants (Usually First Person)

Story texts often focus on the experiences of a particular
participant. This participant is often the author himself, using

the pronouns "I" or "we". However, recount text can also be

written from a third-person point of view that focuses on a

                      specific character ("He" or "She").

Example: "I took a walk in the park. The birds were chirping, and
                      the sun was shining."

                      d. Using Conjunctions for Sequencing

Connectives such as "then", "after", "before", "next", and "finally"

play an important role in a recount text. They help connect
sentences and paragraphs, ensuring a smooth flow and a clear

                      chronological order of events.

Example: "We arrived at the beach. Then, we built a sand castle.

                      After that, we went swimming."

                      e. Using Action Verbs

Action verbs are very important for recount texts because they

describe the actions and events that take place. These verbs bring

the story to life and make it interesting for the reader.
