TOUGH ENOUGH TO CARE


       This charity (TETC) is a local Dudley based charity with meetings at Dudley & Kingswinford that is dealing with men’s mental
       health issues.
       Two lads from PP David’s firm undertook this Challenge on Saturday 14th August which is called “Tough Mudder”. It is 10
       miles of 25 challenging obstacles in the mud and promotes teamwork. The Club agreed to sponsor them for £200.

       They aimed to raise £1000 which would fund the training of 4 volunteers or pay for one peer to peer group for 12 months.
























       Their leader says…
       “What a Brilliant day Saturday was, 10 Miles, 25 Obstacles, Plenty of Mud, -14 degree ice baths, Electric shock therapy
       and plenty more to challenge us all. I can proudly say we completed Tough Mudder as a team from start to finish which was

                                                                       would like to thank Dave and all at the Dudley
                                                                       Rotary Club for donating to support this great
                                                                       cause. You have managed to help us raise over
                                                                       £2400 (including gift aid) that will help support
                                                                       those who need it the most. I hope you all enjoy
                                                                       the pics and videos, have a good laugh at my
                                                                       expense as I am still aching bad”

                                                                       The Club simply says “Well done” to the team
                                                                       and presume that they enjoyed it!

                                              CHARITY EVENTS


                               Parkinson’s Golf Day at Penn Golf Club 24th September
       The Rotary Club of Dudley sponsored this Golf Day in aid of ParkinsonsUK. Last year the Club donated £5000 and this year
       another £1000. The photograph shows James Wright and David Wilkes who are both members of the Rotary Club and
       Stephen Holmes who will be running in the London Marathon wearing a Rotary Dudley T-shirt in recognition of our
       sponsorship.


                                                                         A sponsored event in aid of the Holocaust
                                                                         Educational Trust was arranged by Jack and
                                                                         Megan, grandchildren of Fred Austin. The Club
                                                                         donated £200 in memory of Fred.

                                                                         The annual Poppy Appeal was supported by
                                                                         Rotarians helping as volunteers for the British
                                                                         Legion.
                                                                         Tesco Christmas Sleigh – it’s back!! Hopefully
                                                                         for three days 21st, 22nd & 23rd December at
                                                                         Tesco at Burnt Tree Island.
