3M™ Scotchcast™ Mine and Portable Cable Splice Kits 8096 Series

The 3M™ Scotchcast™ Splice Kits 8096 Series are complete cable splicing kits designed for splicing type SHD-GC three-conductor shielded cables up to
15 kV on draglines, power shovels, drills and type MPF underground power feeder cables and select trailing cables.
Using 3M Scotchcast Splice Kits, you obtain durable, permanent, shop-quality splices without vulcanizing.
Non-vulcanizing: Jacket restored by 3M Scotchcast Flame Retardant Compound 2131 poured from two-part closed mixing pouch for convenient mixing Mining Splice Kits
and pouring. Compound is self-curing. Permanent: Both electrically and mechanically flexible and moisture-resistant.Portable: Make repairs in the mine
or in the shop. Reduce costly cable and equipment downtime. Cables can be energized immediately. Versatile: Three different cable splice kits handle
nearly all common cable sizes.No end-lifting: Polyurethane-based cable repair compound bonds to all modern cable jacket material is neoprene and
nitrite/PVC, even PVC, EPR and Hypalon. Abrasion-resistant: Equal in performance to vulcanizing. Weather resistant: Designed to maintain physical and
electrical properties in temperature extremes.
* Note: Additional splicing material may be needed for 15 kV.
