252 Eggs and Ashes
Ian M Fraser – ‘Margaret married me, I have three children, nine grandchildren and one
great-grandchild. I have been a member of the Iona Community since 1941.’
Kathy Galloway is the current Leader of the Iona Community. She is the author/
editor of several books including Dreaming of Eden, Pushing the Boat Out, Starting Where
We Are, The Pattern of Our Days, Praying for the Dawn (with Ruth Burgess) and The
Dream of Learning Our True Name, all published by Wild Goose Publications.
Louise Glen-Lee is 33, the same age as our Lord when he died. She is currently working
as deputy warden for the Iona Community. She enjoys fashion and twelve bars of
chocolate a day.
Bob Green: ‘I am a retired pastor of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). I am
currently travelling full-time with my wife in a motorhome. We are planning to do this
for two to three years to try to see the things we have only read about in this huge
country of ours (USA). My wife (also a retired Disciples pastor) and I have three sons
and six grandchildren.’
Alma Hamilton is an associate member of the Iona Community. For several years she
played an active role in the ecumenical scene in Stevenage and in her Catholic parish
and now lives with her husband in Somerset; in both places she has been involved in
work with the homeless. She has three grown children and six grandchildren of differ-
ent shapes and sizes.
John Harvey is a member of the Iona Community and lives in Glasgow. A minister in the
Church of Scotland, he has worked in Glasgow, Stirling, Iona, Greenock and Edinburgh,
and is now officially retired.
Ruth Harvey is a member of the Iona Community and editor of Coracle magazine.
Judith Jardine has lived on Iona for over 20 years and finds that every day on the island
brings an abundance of privileges and unexpected challenges.
Kirsty Langlands is now aged 20, and is a biochemistry student at Aberdeen University.
Pat Livingstone is a composer and music educator in London. Recent work includes:
‘Bathtime Boogie’ for prepared piano; ‘And the Bread’, an Easter play with music for
children; ‘Winter Lights’, for large mixed ensemble; Brass All Year Round, a tutor book
for young brass players; ‘I Saw A Stranger’, a CD published by Wild Goose Publications;
‘I Want to Be a Millionaire’, for the London lesbian and gay chamber choir – Diversity –
and reflections in the book Let Justice Roll Down, edited by Geoffrey Duncan.
