As for staff and educators, a physical environment such as a break room is a place that they can associate with positive experiences. It will add to the relaxing, separate atmosphere of the classroom and improve the break time that the staff and educators have on a regular basis. The break room gives staffs and teachers a space to sit down and eat a meal during their break. It will also help the staff and educators to feel more relaxed and respected. This way, staff and teachers can settle their appetency and improve their productivity without resulting in lethargy. Having a rest at the break room will not only help staff relieve stress and promote greater productivity when they go back to work, but it also serves a more important purpose. It creates a natural opportunity for staff to engage and communicate to one another. That conversation can help them to solve problems related to young childrenÊs development, parents and the centreÊs operation. This experience may affect their current and future beliefs and practices.
By developing relationships between parents and staff and using observation areas effectively, staff can assist parents to increase their depth of understanding regarding their young child. The more people who are responsibility for, and care about a young child, the less likely that the child will be neglected. Deepening a parentÊs understanding of his or her young childÊs behaviour, personality and development will result in a stronger relationship between the parent and their child. When parents are involved in their childrenÊs progress in early childhood education, these young children may be less likely to be anxious about learning and their academic performance. Thus, friendships and mutual support among families, staff and educators are vital and can provide tangible assistance and emotional support in times of stress as well as contribute to a familyÊs sense of well-being.
