Exploring (10 minutes):

1. Ask, “Which of these three resonates the most with you, and why?” Discuss answers.

2. Ask, “Which of these is most difficult for you, and why?” Discuss answers.

3. Ask, “How do our individual sins contribute to these three broken relationships?”

a. We’ve each offended God with our sins.

b. We’ve each committed sin against someone else.

c. We can observe the effects of sin in the natural world.

4. Keep the discussion on track by avoiding:

a. Political discussion

b. Placing blame

c. Allowing excuses

Responding (5 minutes):

1. What might be a good first step to restoring broken relationships?

a. Placing our faith in Jesus Christ.

b. Trust Him for forgiveness of our sins.

2. Extend the invitation to become a Christian.

Concluding (3-5 minutes):

1. Mention the topic of next week’s study.

2. Briefly accept prayer requests, if applicable.
