Getting School Ready

The children have a planned

activity with their key

worker, which they can

participate in twice a day.

These activities are based on

the children ‘next steps’ and

are linked to their interests

to help engage them
Every month we have ‘Children’s

Committee’ which gives the

children the opportunity to have

their say about the nursery. We

now have an optional Badger

uniform and book bag, as the

children expressed an interest

in having one.

Throughout the week there are

dough disco sessions to help

strengthen the children’s

muscles for writing. We also

teach ‘jolly phonics’ and ‘Read

Write Inc’ to help the children

learn their sounds and letter

formation.
