Carl laughed and smiled. “Just relax and trust me,” he said.

“There is nothing to be afraid of.”

Carl explained to the sloth that Macaw was making up things that weren’t true

and that Macaw had tried to scare Carl himself earlier that morning. They both

laughed as the sloth moved slowly down the pole and disappeared into the lush

green trees of the rainforest, once again moving at a slow pace.
