CLIMATE
Las Vegas enjoys one of the sunniest climates in the United States, with roughly 295 to just over
300 sunny days each year, depending on how sunshine is measured. The region’s desert air is
typically dry, which many residents find more comfortable than humid
environments.
The local climate features very hot summers, mild winters, and abundant sunshine throughout
most of the year. Seasonal changes are present but not extreme, which makes outdoor activities
and travel planning easier and more predictable.
Weather systems often move in from the Pacific, usually arriving weakened after crossing moun-
tain ranges. At times, moisture can flow up from the south during monsoon season in late sum-
mer, bringing brief storms and cloud cover. Even with these patterns, most days remain clear and
dry, giving residents dependable conditions for weekend plans and outdoor living.
