A product is ultimately only as good as the
people behind it, from the people who
design and sell it to those who are there to
support you after the sale. Prakash Basant
Jham prides himself on providing that all
too important support role in his career
as a Technical Support Specialist for
ASSA ABLOY Canada. Both his customers
and his teammates at ASSA ABLOY feel
the impact of Jham’s efforts daily.
“I feel like my biggest achievement is being
able to become that go-to person for my
peers from several internal departments
and helping them resolve issues,” Prakash
said. “I am also very proud of helping
OE/CS team to create reports for them
for incoming orders forecast and also
to measure performance to help improve
productivity.”
One of the biggest drivers behind Prakash’s
success is recognizing the importance
of his work, and realizing that nothing at
ASSA ABLOY runs as smoothly without a
rock solid support team, both internally
and externally.

“The tech support team is the backbone of
the company. We work with the customers
and internal teams to help with any issues
and questions from problem solving to
helping with selecting the right product.
We help the CS team with product issues
and provide quick and economical solutions
to various issues. The purchasing team
makes sure that we carry sufficient stock
of inventory in the warehouse and provide
regular feedback on factory lead-time and
issues in production.”
When Prakash isn’t making a difference at
work, you can find him with his “amazing”
wife and children or playing cricket.
Whether in sports, work, or his personal
life, Prakash knows the value in being a
teammate.
“Teamwork is the greatest strength of
ASSA ABLOY and I am proud to be a part
of that. I would like to thank all my peers
for supporting me and my mentors for
believing in me. I love our company’s culture
where the entire team is very supportive.”
