           About the Author
                        Dr. Michael Hinman is a Director of Curriculum and the Affirmative Action Officer for Galloway Township
                        Public Schools. A graduate of Stockton University, Rutgers University GSE, and Northeastern University
                        College of Professional Studies, his doctoral dissertation study generated qualitative research on the
                        biases and heuristics in teacher hiring by principals in K-8 NJ schools. Dr. Hinman is also the director
                        and adjunct professor of the Alternate Route to Teaching at Stockton University.
