           About the Author
                        Meredith Thomas is a current candidate in the NJEXCEL program. She has been in the classroom for 18
                        years and currently teaches music and serves as the District Gifted and Talented Specialist in Holmdel, New
                        Jersey. She has her Masters in Special Education: Gifted, Talented, and Creative Education from Arkansas
                        State University and serves as Co-Vice President of Programs for the New Jersey Association for Gifted
                        Children. Meredith also facilitates trainings at the college level for pre-service teachers and has mentored
