Destination Marketing and Branding
Furthermore, today's travellers are more sophisticated than ever, and are now looking for a type of tourism that
gives them access to local culture, as well as structured opportunities to participate in different activities and unique
life experiences from selected villages. For example:
1.Ban Rim Klong Community Company, Samut Songkhram. It is located on the banks of the canal and is thus
suitable for growing coconut trees. This may be the most delicious creative tourist destination of them all, as the
community's main activity is to make coconut sugar, an essential ingredient in some of the most popular Thai
desserts.
2.Kanchanaburi: Ban Nong Kratoom Community in Rai Khun Mon. The destination will appeal to tourists
studying traditional medicine, natural herbs, and Thai massage.
3.Bencharong Village, Samut Songkhram. Here one can learn, and actually invent, Bencharong's famous five-
cups, plates, pots, and porcelain bowls.
4.Explore some creative villages in Isan, or northeast Thailand, including pottery in Ban Chiang near Udon
Thani, Thai silk in Chaiyaphum, or fine bamboo items in Kalasin, to name just three.
5.Creative mountain enthusiasts interested in traditional culture and lifestyle will enjoy creative villages in
northern Thailand, where you can learn everything from hill embroidery to tea making to mahout, or certified
elephant trainer.
