         UK Seafood Summit 2019

Bringing together a panel of respected speakers and delegates to discuss and debate the burning issues in the global seafood industry.
The theme for this year being The Responsible Seafood Economy - Looking forward responding to change. The focus this year being:
Supplies Explore the changing nature of seafood sourcing Operations Innovation in technology, evolution of the workforce Markets The shifting interests of consumers
Proceedings started with the introduction of a new seminar, hosted by the Young Seafood Leaders Network with Seafood Demand: Responding to changing consumer preferences, habits and desires for sustainable products being the topic. This was followed by the traditional Seafood Fayre, showcasing local producers.
With both the welcome and closing addresses made by Seafish CEO Marcus Coleman, guest speakers over the two days included Angela Coleshill, Competitiveness Director, Food and Drink Federation and Daniel Whittle, Managing Director, Whitby Seafoods. This year’s keynote speaker was Winus Sloot, Sales and Marketing Director, Fish Tales. Further details and presentation are now available to download on the Seafish website.
